EPO fees update

European Patent Office has announced fees increase as of April 1, 2024.

Even 30% reduction in all main fees in patent grant procedure for:
– micro-enterprises,
– natural persons,
– non-profit organisations,
– universities
– public research organisations
if they filled fever than five applications in the last five years.

There will be also increases!

Examination fee increases from 1840 EUR up to 1915 EUR, 3rd year renewal fees increases from 530 EUR to 690 EUR, and 4th year renewal fees increases from 660 EUR to 845 EUR.

If you don’t benefit from discounts we strongly recommend paying fees before 1.04.2024!

Annuities may be paid up to three months in advance of the due date. Applicants also may want to consider filing applications or paying fees, such as designation and examination fees, before April 1, 2024 to take advantage of the current fees. If fees are paid before April 1, 2024, the current lower fees will apply.
