How can I check if the trademark is registered?
All trademarks for which registration requests were made with the Polish Patent Office, EUIPO, or WIPO can be found in databases which are typically available online. Official databases are publicly available and searchable by various criteria, e.g. keywords, name of holder, etc. However, if you want to obtain a more comprehensive comparison of your designs with trademarks already present on a given market (to rule out the risk of infringement), it is best to contact a patent law firm, as they have access to commercial databases and can compare numerous trade marks by various categories chosen together with the client. A search report usually provides an accurate answer as to whether a mark can be registered in a particular territory (market) without risking a conflict with existing trademarks.
