What is an industrial design?
An industrial design is any new product which, in whole or in part, has an appearance of individual character resulting from the features of, in particular, the lines, colours, shape, texture or materials of the product and its ornamentation.
Industrial design laws do not protect internal parts of the product (i.e. components) which are not exposed as part of its form during normal use, nor do they cover spare parts (i.e. components) used to repair the product in such a way as to restore its original appearance.
