Graduate of the Faculty of Law at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, and of postgraduate studies in industrial property law at the University of Warsaw. She is a qualified patent attorney and attorney for trademarks and industrial designs before the EUIPO.
Magdalena Maksimowska has years of experience in the field of industrial property gained during her work at one of patent attorneys’ firms in Warsaw. Prior to practising in patent attorneys’ firms, she gained experience during her internships in the Legal Department of a major FMCG company and in the European Law Department in the Office of the Committee for European Integration.
She conducts application and litigation proceedings for obtaining protection rights for trademarks and industrial designs in domestic, EU and international procedures before the Polish Patent Office, the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Office in Geneva (WIPO), respectively. She provides strategic advice to clients on building and managing their industrial property rights portfolio. Moreover, she drafts legal opinions on the registrability of trademarks and delivers trainings on industrial property.
