JWP Patent & Trademark Attorneys has supported the participation of children from Private Primary School number 72 in Piaseczno in the Destination Imagination Asian Creativity Olympics, which took place in Beijing (4th-6th December 2015).
This international education event was attended by nearly 7000 participants from China and from abroad,. Polish representation, were four teams at various age levels, including two teams from the Piaseczno.
In Beijing, young people took part in two competitions. First one was checking skills concerning rapid thinking, fast and innovative solution of the problem. In the second one you had to create a solution to the problem in 24 hours. Experts and gathered audience appreciated the creative thinking represented by Polish teams. The level of preparation of the Polish national team was impressively high which resulted in obtaining top positions in each age category.
Destination Imagination is a volunteer-led, educational non-profit organization that teaches 21st century skills to students through creative and collaborative problem solving challenges. Team members work together to develop a solution to one of 7 open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Through the Challenge program, students learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation and learn skills needed to succeed in school, career and life, including teamwork, communication, project management, perseverance, creative and critical thinking, and self-confidence.
